ABOUT THE JOB
We're looking for someone who can design visuals, write, manage social media, and is tech-savvy. Someone who has affinity with space and is eager to learn and curious to develop their skills. You will work in an inspiring, ever-growing and innovative industry.
PERIOD
Starting from October 1, 2022 (or earlier), for 36 hours (1 FTE)
LOCATION
Noordwijk (NL). Possibility to work remotely half of the time.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• 36 hours per week ( 24 SBIC Noordwijk - 12 NL Space Campus via SBIC Noordwijk )
• Gross salary between 2.500 EURO per Month and 3.100 EURO depending on experience
• Holiday allowance of 8% annual gross salary
• Number of holidays: 23 per year
• Travel expenses related to work will be covered, depending on the way of transport.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and execute our Content Calendar and Social Media Strategy
• Write and manage content at different Community Platforms (mainly in English)
• Create and send out communication campaigns and newsletters (Email & Mailchimp)
• Adapt brand guidelines for day-to-day use in presentations, email campaigns, social media campaigns, etc.
• Keep our websites (WordPress) up to date and sharp looking
• Design visuals, slide decks, web pages, social posts
• Optional, but very valuable: Create professional photos and videos during events

QUALIFICATIONS& SKILLS

• Between 2-5 years of experience in either a content function, similar work at a marketing/communication department and/or journalism.
• Fluent in English (verbal and in writing) is a must
• Communicative/social skills and a hands-on mentality
• Visual and content design skills
• The ability to adapt to different project needs
• Flexible, representative, a sense of humour
• You must be based in The Netherlands.

ABOUT US
Space Business Innovation Centre Noordwijk supports entrepreneurs that want to launch or improve a product or service that makes use of space technology. We do this by organizing hackathons, competitions, workshops, events and programmes , and give them access to an international network, tools, knowledge and finance.
One of the most important tasks of SBIC is managing ESA's startup programme in the Netherlands, ESA BIC Noordwijk . Next to that, on a project basis, we often work with other space related efforts, like the NL Space Campus or helping entrepreneurs from abroad set up their space business in The Netherlands.

SBIC Noordwijk and NL Space Campus are close partners and we enjoy working together a lot. We both have small teams, do a lot of events together and therefore can share the workload sometimes. We both find enjoying our work very important, have ambitions in growing our experience and skills, are curious to learn more and innovate the industry, and we have direct, honest and transparent communication styles. We have a passion for space, networking and shiny new toys. The force is always with us!
